People choose psychotherapy for a wide range of reasons ranging from seeking help with concrete problems such as troubled relationships, children, family dynamics, mental health difficulties, eating disorders, substance abuse, and also with less concrete goals such as finding direction or addressing past trauma.
Psychotherapy is confidential. It can provide the supportive, safe, and private space to allow individuals, couples, and families to grow together and create more harmony. We utilize the client's strengths to create meaningful changes for individuals. The goal of psychotherapy is to help individuals embrace fuller, more creative, and satisfying lives, and relationships.
Some approaches include: Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural/Schema Therapy, as well as Somatic & Trauma-Informed Approaches.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
